Big Wave Surfing

Nazaré is where the ocean shows its full power. Standing on the cliffs above Praia do Norte, we watched surfers paddle into waves taller than buildings — a humbling reminder of how small humans can be against nature.

Big wave surfing isn’t just about bravery; it’s about respect — for the ocean, for each other, and for the limits of the human body. Watching these athletes face fear together made this one of the most breathtaking experiences of our journey so far.
