Nordic Combined

Nordic Combined might be one of the most demanding sports on the planet — combining ski jumping and cross-country skiing into a single competition. In Trondheim, we gained rare access to the jump hill, athlete areas, and Team USA, witnessing firsthand what it takes to master two extreme disciplines at once.

Meeting athletes like Annika Malacinski showed us more than athletic excellence — it showed determination. Despite women being excluded from the Olympic version of the sport, the camaraderie, grit, and belief among these athletes made it clear they belong on the world’s biggest stage.
